GARDEN CLUB
Students in the Garden Club have been hard at work preparing the school's raised garden beds, showing great teamwork and enthusiasm along the way.
Another exciting milestone has been reached, with the new irrigation system now up and running. Students were thrilled to see the sprinklers in action for the first time as the garden continues to grow into a vibrant outdoor learning space for all to enjoy.
A huge thank you to Mr Robertson and the Garden Club for their dedication and hard work. Stay tuned—there's an exciting surprise coming soon!
DRAWING CLUB AND WRITERS CLUB
Revesby Public School's student-led Drawing Club and Writers Club officially began this week, with an outstanding turnout from students eager to learn, create and connect.
In Drawing Club, students explored techniques for drawing people, demonstrating impressive focus, creativity and collaboration. Meanwhile, Writers Club members immersed themselves in crafting imaginative stories, unique characters and engaging ideas. Over the coming weeks, students will continue refining their work and have the opportunity to publish their writing for an authentic audience.
Public Speaking Success
We are incredibly proud of our students who represented our school in the NSW Department of Education Public Speaking competition. We were excited that Zaynab won the Bankstown Network Public Speaking competition. She then went onto coming second in the Metro West and Metro South competition. We are so proud of the confidence, courage and outstanding communication skills you have developed.
Attendance Matters
At our school, strong attendance is a key focus and an essential part of every child’s learning success. We are proud to share our outstanding attendance achievements for 2025.
This year, 5 students attended school every single day, achieving an incredible 100% attendance record. In addition, 90 students attended 95% or more of the school year a remarkable demonstration of their commitment to learning.
We congratulate these students and their families for prioritising education and helping build a strong culture of consistency and success. Regular attendance ensures students stay connected, engaged and continually progressing in their learning.
Together, we continue to reinforce the message that every day counts.
Debating Success
Our school continues to build a strong and vibrant culture of debating, where students develop confidence, critical thinking and articulate communication skills.
This year, we are proud to celebrate outstanding achievements from our debating teams. One of our teams won the overall competition, showcasing exceptional teamwork, preparation and persuasive argument skills. Our second team also performed brilliantly, winning the majority of their debates throughout the season.
We congratulate all students involved for their dedication and commitment, and we thank the staff who supported and coached the teams. Their success reflects the enthusiasm, effort and growing expertise within our school’s debating program.
Curiosity and Inquiry
At our school, we foster a culture where curiosity leads learning. Students are encouraged to explore ideas, ask questions, think deeply and approach challenges with an inquisitive mindset.
Through hands-on learning, rich classroom discussions and opportunities to investigate real-world concepts, our students learn to wonder, discover and make meaningful connections.
By nurturing curiosity and inquiry, we empower our learners to become creative thinkers, problem solvers and engaged participants in their own learning journey.
“Revesby Public School should be deeply proud of its work. Every staff member stands shoulder to shoulder, doing what they do best — placing students at the heart of everything. Our children feel safe, supported and inspired every single day. There’s truly no better place!”
