Classroom management

We believe that effective classroom management is important for creating the optimal conditions for learning.

There is a close link between effective classroom management and student performance and teachers ensure that they provide the best learning environment for all students.  This effective classroom management means that teachers can spend more time of their time teaching, which in turn improves students' performance.

Effective classroom management is key at Revesby Public School through fostering and maintaining a high level of student of student engagement through providing opportunities for students to be active learners.  Effective classroom management is also achieved through establishing classroom rules and communicating clear expectations for learning and behaviours.  Teachers work hard in establishing routines and reinforce positive behaviour.  When necessary teachers impose consistent consequences for undesirable behaviour.

The school too has a school-wide approach to behaviour management based on a levelled system for both positive and negative behaviours.  The key to our positive school culture is that all staff work on building positive relationships with students and the community.  One of the school's key goals is to ensure that all students are known and cared for within the school context.
