At Revesby Public School we use Thinking Routines as a structure for learning as they promote thinking about thinking. This is really learning about learning.
Our students respond well to the routines that exist in their classrooms. Teachers have recently had professional learning on implementing Thinking Routines within their classrooms. These routines can be thought of as the procedure, process, or pattern of action that is used repeatedly to manage and facilitate the accomplishment of specific goals or tasks. These Thinking Routines assist students to draw upon known strategies and support a way of working. They support students to think about their thinking.
Teachers have been working with routines to assist developing understanding, fairness, truth and to support creativity.
