Our special partnership with Beachwood Aged Care
Revesby Public School has developed a beautiful partnership with Beachwood Aged Care. Our students have visited Beechwood Aged Care to share some music during the weekly sing-along. The residents taught us a thing or two about sing-alongs, with some lessons in how to play the pianola. Our students were amazed by the pianola's technology and the stories behind the music.
There is so much to learn from the beautiful residents. While the residents enjoyed chatting with our students, it was our students who learned so much! The school also visited to take flowers after the Anzac Day Ceremony. Some of the residents shared wonderful stories regarding their experiences and that of their partners regarding war. Students thoroughly enjoy interacting and learning from residents. Thank you Beechwood Aged Care, we look forward to our continued partnership. We want our students to know that the residents are very much a part of the community and if we can share a little joy with them then we are achieving.
